Boys and Girls Club
Since its beginnings and today, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Texas Hill Country addresses the need for guidance and mentorship of youth. Studies conducted by the Boys & Girls Club of America show that youth drug and alcohol abuse, as well as premature sexual activity, are more common in rural areas than in urban. The club has taken strong measures to further its mission of having a positive impact on youth and their life choices. Knowing that the middle school years are a critical, at-risk time for all youth, the club has taken purposeful steps to focus on expanding and improving its offerings and programming for that group, to attract and retain membership through those key years.
